Live Forever

You’ve become the brightest star,
who’s too far away from the Milky way
And I don’t have the power to
bring you back home
My ears were yearning to hear
your voice, before we were
divided by the heaven’s clouds
But this departure has been well planned by the unapologetic betrayal of time
Now I’m bearing the guilt with
no more tears to cry

The World seems to be never same without you for sure
The echoes of your laughter keep ringing in the backyard garden
My journey might be astray and hopeless, yet it can be rerouted as long as the courage that you’ve given illuminates like the lantern throughout my way

I’m beseeching your soul to incarnate
as my child
So I can give the same love as you’ve given all this time
or else, please fly from the heaven
as a little sparrow sometimes
to rest upon my heart’s windowsill
and ease the pain and sorrow
that’ll never end

Undeniably, I’ll be gone same as you some day
Anyhow there is no enduring place to stay evermore
But our framed moments on this earth
will live forever

I wrote this as a tribute to my late mother who passed away five years ago.
