The Sun That Might Never Comes

Seeing the anguished world
through my obscured window
The interim penumbra apprise
the enduring chronicle
Please burn the rapacity for the
sake of prospective toddlers
to play on the field of heather

I need my soul to swim
towards the solitary island
I could build a home to preserve
my remaining time, there
Don’t give me the duration
to choose a side for this conflict
I’m just wishing it to end soon

Let the canaries sing
the songs of amity and liberty
Let the nature supersede
the autocratic jurisdiction
Let the shimmering rapture
affix the wrecked hearts
Let the sanguine eyes wait for
the Sun that might never comes.
